Welcome to the PIVOT Project, an NSF-funded effort to develop a community-based platform intended to catalyze the production and consumption of automotive and heavy duty datasets and associated tools to support the computer science and engineering community pursuing research in vehicle system cybersecurity, intelligent transportation, and smart and connected communities.

PIVOT AT CES 2026 COVESA SHOWCASE! PIVOT participated as an exhibitor in the COVESA Networking Reception & Demonstration Showcase at CES 2026, featuring a live demonstration of integrating COVESA’s Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS) with the BEAMNG.drive simulator, along with posters highlighting PIVOT activities, CSU’s CAN Logger 4, and work on classification of automated driving systems. The event provided an opportunity to engage with researchers and practitioners interested in using and contributing data through PIVOT. WORKSHOP SLIDES NOW AVAILABLE! The 2025 PIVOT Workshop was held virtually on November 6, 2025. The event featured a great lineup of presentations and discussion sessions focused on the PIVOT program and on human factors in automotive security and privacy.
